The network that hosts services for the office of Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday is offline after a recent \u201ccyber incident,\u201d according to a notice<\/a> Sunday posted to his official X account on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Affected systems include the AG office\u2019s website, email and phone lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are taking steps to determine the cause of the cyber incident, and working to restore services on all avenues. Office of Attorney General staff are continuing to advocate on behalf of the Commonwealth and are working with supervisors to minimize any interruptions,\u201d his post reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday called the situation \u201cfrustrating.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am grateful for the dedication and professionalism of our Information Technology staff who are working around the clock to resolve the matter,” he said in a statement. “In collaboration with our law enforcement partners, we will work diligently to restore systems.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though Sunday did not say the outage was the result of a cyberattack, ransomware and denial of service attacks are regularly leveled at state and local government offices. The office of Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares was hit last February<\/a> with a cyberattack that Chief Deputy Attorney General Steven Popps at the time called \u201csophisticated.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
