The National Association of State Chief Information Officers on Tuesday named its executive leaders for the coming year, moving Arizona CIO J.R. Sloan up to president, replacing Texas CIO Amanda Crawford, who\u2019s now recognized as the group\u2019s most recent past president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As NASCIO\u2019s most recent president, Crawford led an initiative called \u201cDemystifying State Technology Procurement,\u201d aimed at making<\/a> the process by which states purchase things simpler, both for vendors and the government agencies doing the procuring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utah CIO Alan Fuller now serves as NASCIO\u2019s vice president and Ohio CIO Katrina Flory serves as its secretary-treasurer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group also named the directors on its executive committee:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wyoming CIO Jeff Clines <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevada CIO Timothy Galluzi <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Georgia CIO Shawnzia Thomas<\/p>\n\n\n\n
