Troy Gunderson was recently a candidate for State Superintendent of Public Instruction. He wanted to play a role in improving public schools for the children of Wisconsin.
He was a Democrat that was committed to developing a vision for education that ensured that teachers and children were ready.
Children need to be ready to learn. Teachers need to be ready to teach.
The office is elected by the people in statewide ballot for a 4 year term.

I stood in line and voted. It was a crisp autumn day, and the leaves were changing colors. I arrived at my polling place early in the morning, and there was already a long line of people waiting to cast their ballots. I was excited to exercise my right to vote, and I felt a sense of pride knowing that I was participating in the democratic process.
As I waited in line, I struck up conversations with my fellow voters. We talked about the issues that were important to us and shared our opinions on the candidates. It was refreshing to see people from all walks of life come together to participate in our democracy. Despite our differences, we all had one thing in common: we wanted our voices to be heard.
Finally, it was my turn to step up to the voting machine. I carefully made my selections and double-checked my choices before submitting my ballot. As I left the polling place, I felt a sense of accomplishment knowing that I had done my part to shape the future of our country.
